During the week of July 28th, we received notification that we had a staff member test positive for COVID-19 during our weekly testing of staff. The employee is asymptomatic and the employee is in an isolation at home for the required amount of time. All resident’s and employee’s are being re-tested and we will keep you all updated as the results come in.
As many of you are aware, Nursing Homes have received guidance from the NYSDOH regarding limited visitation. One of the conditions for approval of limited visitation is that the facility cannot have any positive COVID-19 lab results for 28 days. The result today has postponed our ability to initiate limited visitation.
We understand the frustration and discouragement this may cause as we were so close to beginning visitation. You and we are not alone; this is happening in facilities locally as well as across the state.
We ask that everyone think positive, hope and pray that we do not receive any further positive results, so we can reunite everyone with their loved ones as soon and as safely as possible.
As always, thank you for your cooperation.
