Livingston Hills Holds 3rd Annual Community Day Event

On September 10th, the staff at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center hosted its 3rd Annual Community Day event, attracting approximately 300 people. The event was held outside of the skilled nursing facility at 2781 Route 9 and was free for all members of the community, residents, and their family members.

We were happy to have with us this year Lisa Wood from About Face for Face painting, Two by Two Zoo, DJ Jack Bogarski, Jackie Reynolds as Bee Bee the Clown, Bindelestiff Family Cirkus, and all our vendors.

A selection of food and beverages were available for free at the barbecue along with a pie roast, popcorn and snow cones. We like to give a thank you as well to Kodi Stack Closson who was our photographer and to SMS Rentals for the bounce houses, dunk tank, and other supplies.

Thank you to everyone who came out and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s event on September 9, 2017.

Bingo at Livingston Hills

On Saturday, June 11, volunteers from a local church group came to Livingston Hills to be a part of our Bingo activity. They also brought along their children who helped with the event and played right alongside our residents. Thank you to these wonderful volunteers!BingoCollage

Bard College’s Talent Show

In April we were greeted once again by students from Bard College, this time from the music department. The students put on a talent show where they danced, sang, and played instruments much to everyone’s delight.

We are so thankful they came out to spend time at Livingston Hills with our residents.

These talented individuals have a bright future ahead of them.

Livingston Hills in the Community

Our staff at Livingston Hills enjoys the time spent with our residents, but we also look forward to opportunities to go out into the community and meet our neighbors. Recently, we had two chances to meet the public, share information about Livingston Hills, and provide free blood pressure screenings.

The first was at Senator Kathy Marchione’s annual Golden Gatherings event at Columbia Green Community College in Greenport, which we attended on October 17th.

The second was the Senior Expo at the Crossgates Mall on October 23rd.

If you see our booth in the future, be sure to stop by and speak with us about our services and programs.

Flu Shot Clinic

Start your winter safely: Livingston Hills and Hannaford are once again joining together this year for the administration of the Flu Vaccine to both the Community and the Facility. Come and get your Flu Shots.
