(Livingston, NY) – This Saturday, Sept. 19, the staff at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will be holding its 2nd Annual Community Day event which will be open to the public 1PM to 4PM. The event, which takes place outside of the skilled nursing facility at 2781 Route 9, is free for all members of the community, residents, and their family members.
This year’s event is already looking to be bigger and better than last year when the skilled nursing facility first kicked off the event. Last year, with 20 private vendors, a free barbecue, activities for kids, and raffles, approximately 300 people were in attendance. This year’s event promises to have an increased 30 vendors and even more activities.
Among the vendors guests can expect to see are Pink Zebra and Usborne Books, along with booths for Tupperware, jewelry, and more. Hannaford is also providing an ice cream booth as a donation to the event. Livingston Hills is bringing back the bounce house and dunk tank from SMS Rentals and Two by Two Zoo where families can see animals such as goats, ducks, rabbits, pigs, and a bearded dragon.
A selection of food and beverages will also be available free of charge at the barbecue along with popcorn and snow cones.
Throughout the event, community members can expect to see a variety of entertainers such as DJ Johnny Bo, Keith Nelson from Blindlestiff Family Cirkus, and dance company Roz’s Dance Works who will be performing as well. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Prizes will also be given out at Livingston Hills through a silent auction and a 50/50.
“We’re happy to put together an event like this where families can come together and have a great time,” said Livingston Hills Administrator Chris Roberts. “Our staff has been working on this event for months and we’re excited to be bringing a new tradition to the community.”
