Livingston Hills Holds 3rd Annual Community Day Event

On Sept. 10, the staff at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center hosted its 3rd Annual Community Day event, attracting approximately 300 people. The event was held outside of the skilled nursing facility at 2781 Route 9 and was free for all members of the community, residents, and their family members.

We were happy to have with us this year Lisa Wood from About Face for face painting, Two by Two Zoo, DJ Jack Bogarski, Jackie Reynolds as Bee Bee the Clown, Bindelestiff Family Cirkus, and all our vendors.

A selection of food and beverages were available for free at the barbecue along with a pie roast, popcorn and snow cones. We like to give a thank you as well to Kodi Stack Closson who was our photographer and to SMS Rentals for the bounce houses, dunk tank, and other supplies.

Thank you to everyone who came out and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s event on September 9, 2017.

Monthly Musicians at Livingston Hills

At Livingston Hills we are thrilled to constantly be bringing new and innovative activities to our residents. However, we also enjoy seeing facility favorites return each month to entertain residents and play a combination of old, familiar songs with something new. Bill and Rico are among our most popular entertainers at the rehab center along with Valinda who all come once a month to play, sing, and speak with our residents.

Livingston Hills Goes to the Columbia County Fair

Recently, a group of residents from Livingston Hills went to spend the day at the Columbia County Fair. While there, they stopped by our booth to say hello and take a few pictures. They also saw a tractor pull, and enjoyed pizza and lemonade. There were plenty of games as well and one luck resident won two gold fish who have now found a new home with the rest of our fish at the Livingston Hills tank.

When they came back from the fair, they were just in time for the Tribal Drum Circle, which has started to become a regular treat at Livingston Hills. It was a great way to end a fun-filled day.

This Livingston Resident Knows How to Rock

Did you know one of our residents is a professional guitarist?

He and his band recently performed for the rest of our Livingston Hills residents and played a selection of southern rock and classic country music.

They were a huge hit and we thank them for the amazing show!

Bobby Val Returns to Livingston Hills

On August 17th, Bobby Val came back to our rehab center for another wonderful performance.

We always enjoy when these two come to sing for us and look forward to the next visit.

Residents Enjoy a Raffle with Their Morning Coffee

During one of our morning coffee socials, Livingston Hills held a raffle for a giant stuffed money. Residents were able to use their “big bucks”, earned from attending previous events and activities, to get tickets to win the prize.

Balloon Smash!

Our Balloon Smash activity at Livingston Hills keeps growing in popularity.

Each time our residents get together for this event, the group gets bigger and bigger.

It’s wonderful exercise, and a lot of fun!
