Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, recently gave out over $800 in cash prizes during their recent monthly Bingo event last week, making it most successful event since the program started over the summer.

These activities, affectionately called ‘Jack’s Big Bingo Night’ after Director of Special Projects Jack Weinberg, have become a regular occurrence at Livingston Hills with each month’s event bringing more members of the community out than the last. On Nov. 9, the newly renovated dining hall welcomed over 50 community members and several residents of the facility.

The night included four games of regular Bingo, four special games of Bingo, one midway jackpot of $150 and one final jackpot of $231 with Ellie K. and Tiffany B. as our two jackpot winners. A 50/50 was also drawn with Mary S. winning $102.

Other winners include:

Throughout the night’s activities, bingo participants had the opportunity to see the skilled nursing facility and play alongside the residents of Livingston Hills, enjoying the assortment of food and beverages and the playful, but competitive, camaraderie. With these monthly events, residents get the chance to meet new people, share stories about their own experiences, and most importantly, an opportunity to be included in community activities. The staff work hard each month to ensure residents have a full calendar of activities to participate in, but it’s more enjoyable when visitors join in.

The next Jack’s Big Bingo Night will be held Dec. 7 at 7 P.M. in the skilled nursing facility’s main dining room. Admission is $10 each and includes one booklet with additional sheets available for purchase.
